About the report

GCC Healthcare Perspectives is a secondary research report which includes a comparative analysis on the GCC states healthcare systems and an overview of each state. The report also follows a comparison between healthcare indicators for the GCC Area, Europe and the U.S.

As the GCC countries continue to increase their population and also develop their infrastructure, the healthcare sector continues to evolve and the need for healthcare providers increases each year. Trends and industry changes require investors to structure the available information in an integrated approach, in order to determine patterns and predict future outcomes.

In order to create a comprehensive and relevant overview, The KPI Institute gathered data from seven databases that provided information of each country’s healthcare sector and also processed the latest available information for the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The indicators used for the study include topics relating to:

• Hospital demographics;
• Personnel occupancy;
• Life expectancy at age 60;
• Neonatal mortality rate per 1000 live births and other health related indicators.
