GCC Healthcare Benchmarking Project

About the Project

The GCC Healthcare Benchmarking Study is the first project of this type in the region, in terms of coverage and complexity, and it aims at evaluating the performance of 420 hospitals across the GCC, using 100 indicators clustered in 3 dimensions: Patient Focus, Facility Resource Administration and Facility Profile.

Our customized benchmarking tool is the result of an extensive research based on data from 30 countries, 78 healthcare facilities KPI categories and 16 taxonomies.

The GCC Healthcare Benchmarking Project is intended to provide the GCC community a wide overview and data access to the most important key performance indicators for hospitals.

Our benchmarking process is based on four main stages:

• Planning: set up the objectives, literature research, stakeholders` targeting preliminary questionnaire.
• Data Collection: surveys, site visits, interviews
• Analyses: comparative statistical and practical analyses of the participating organizations, analysis of discrepancies
• Improvement: possibility to apply potential changes as results of the study into the organization`s management system, in order to improve performance, monitor progress and plan ongoing benchmark.
