Government Services Index 2025
The "2025 Government Services Index'' stands as a compilation of indicators developed to assess the performance of government service delivery, aiming to enhance both efficiency and overall service quality for citizens. This index encompasses five key dimensions, thoughtfully selected for their key roles as primary contributors to the public services. These dimensions are Future Readiness, Digitalization, Governance, Society Welfare, and Citizen Experience. Rooted in data derived from 30 specific indicators aligned with these dimensions, the index covers 126 countries, 5 world regions, and highlights the top performers in each region and on each dimension.
In its fourth consecutive year, the Government Services Index tracks and measures government performance amid today’s challenges, examining the ability of states to adapt, innovate, drive digital transformation, reinforce governance, safeguard social welfare, and elevate the citizen experience. By setting benchmarks, spotlighting effective practices, and presenting forward-looking initiatives from leading nations, the GSI reflects current pressures while providing a roadmap for governments striving to achieve stronger outcomes in times of uncertainty.
